  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling, bridge deck repairs and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 34 in New Haven, Friday, August 9, through Friday, September 13, 2019.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on a 0.47-mile section of Route 34 east and west in West Haven, Monday August 12, through Friday, September 13, 2019.

• 7/30/2019 Nighttime Resurfacing on I-395 Southbound in Griswold and Lisbon

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-395 Southbound in Griswold and Lisbon, Sunday, August 4, through Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

• 7/30/2019 Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-84 in Danbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge maintenance will be performed on I-84 eastbound and westbound in Danbury, Monday, August 5, through Friday, September 27, 2019. Work hours will be 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• 7/30/2019 Saturday Mowing Operations on Various State Routes, Statewide

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation (Department) is announcing the start of Saturday mowing operations on various state routes, statewide. The Saturday mowing schedule is necessary to contend with excessive vegetation growth in the state-owned rights of way which negatively impacts roadway shoulders and intersectional sightlines. The work is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that an herbicidal spraying project will be performed under various guide rail locations on various secondary routes in various towns in Eastern Connecticut beginning Monday, August 5, 2019.

• 7/28/2019 Project No. 174-416 Roof Replacement of Salt Sheds – Bethlehem, Cornwall, Danbury

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is developing plans for the roof replacement of the existing salt sheds located at Route 190 and 346 Main Street South in Bethlehem, 24 Bunker Hill Road in Cornwall and 7 Rockwell Road in Danbury.

• 7/24/2019 Replacement of Bridge 06676, Route 1 Over Unnamed Brook in East Lyme

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge replacement project will begin on August 12, 2019, on Route 1 over an unnamed brook in East Lyme near Heritage Road.

• 7/23/2019 Lane shift for stage 2 construction on I-84 West Exit 54 to Downtown Hartford by way of Founders Bridge

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the lane shift on I-84 West Exit 54 to the left for stage 2 construction of bridge 2367 on Monday July 29, 2019. The current two thru lanes of travel will be maintained. The HOV lane on I-84 west Exit 54 and the Route 2 West Exit 3 ramp to Darlin Street will remain closed until October 19, 2019.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) northbound and southbound in Trumbull, Wednesday, July 31, through Friday, August 29, 2019. Work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• 7/23/2019 Scheduled Closure and Detour of River Road Between Rooster Tail Hollow Road and 119 River Road in New Milford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure and detour of River Road between Rooster Tail Hollow Road and 119 River Road in New Milford to facilitate construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 09200R on the Housatonic Railroad. The closure will begin Friday, August 2, at 7 AM and last until August 12, 2019 at 5 AM.
