Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on Merritt Parkway in Trumbull

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) northbound and southbound in Trumbull, Wednesday, July 31, through Friday, August 29, 2019. Work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

 

The project consists of structural steel repairs on Rt.15 North and South, Bridge #’s 00754 & 05293. 

 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Rt.15 North and South between Exit 49 and Exit 52 in Trumbull.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings)

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
