The project begins at the Platt Road overpass in Shelton and ends at the North Main Street overpass in Seymour for a total of 8.8 miles. The purpose of the project is to provide corridor improvements that bring this section of roadway to current standards.

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Reserve Road in Hartford (the portion under the Charter Oak Bridge) is scheduled to be temporarily closed and detoured beginning at 9:00 PM on Thursday night, October 17, 2019, until 6:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2019. The closure is necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the project. A detour will be in place to bring travelers to Reserve Road destinations north and south of the closure.
