  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that railroad crossing repairs will be performed on the Route 101 (Hartford Pike) railroad crossing west of Interstate 395 in the Dayville Section of Killingly, Friday, October 18, through Monday, October 21, 2019. The upgrade includes the replacement of the crossing riding surface.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on I-84 eastbound and westbound in Southington, Wednesday, October 23, through Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

• 10/14/2019 Nighttime Milling and Paving on South Main Street (Route 177), Mill Street, School Street and Main Street (Route 4) in Farmington

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing nighttime milling and paving of a section of roadway on South Main Street (Route 177) in the vicinity of and including portions of Mill Street, School Street and Main Street (Route 4) in Farmington. All work is weather permitting and is scheduled to start Thursday night, October 17, 2019.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on a 1.85-mile section of Route 1 (Post Rd. East) in Westport through Friday, October 11, 2019.

• 10/7/2019 Resurfacing, Bridge Rehabilitation, and Safety Improvement Project on Route 8 in Shelton, Derby, Ansonia, and Seymour

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) Office of Engineering is implementing a resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation, and safety improvement project on Route 8 in Shelton, Derby, Ansonia, and Seymour. The project begins at the Platt Road overpass in Shelton and ends at the North Main Street overpass in Seymour for a total of 8.8 miles. The purpose of the project is to provide corridor improvements that bring this section of roadway to current standards.

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will continue on a 3.82-miles section of Route 82 (Town Street) in East Haddam and Lyme through Thursday, October 17, 2019.

• 10/7/2019 Nighttime Resurfacing on I-395 in Putnam

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will continue on I-395 northbound and southbound in Putnam through Thursday, October 31, 2019.

• 10/7/2019 I-91 Charter Oak Bridge Project Motorist Advisory – Scheduled Partial Closure of Reserve Road in Hartford

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Reserve Road in Hartford (the portion under the Charter Oak Bridge) is scheduled to be temporarily closed and detoured beginning at 9:00 PM on Thursday night, October 17, 2019, until 6:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2019. The closure is necessary to facilitate construction activities associated with the project. A detour will be in place to bring travelers to Reserve Road destinations north and south of the closure.

• 10/7/2019 Scheduled Lane Closures on Route 34 (East and West) over the Wepawaug River in Orange

  The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 34 eastbound and westbound in the vicinity of the Wepawaug River in Orange will be reduced to one lane in each direction between the hours of 9 PM, Friday October 11, 2019, and 5 AM, Monday October 14, 2019. An additional identical closure will occur again between the hours of 9 PM, Friday, October 18, 2019, and 5 AM, Monday, October 21, 2019.
