State Department of Education Selects Two Schools for CT Vanguard Awards
The State Department of Education today announced the selection of two schools for the Connecticut Vanguard School Award. Granby Memorial High School (GMHS) and Farm Hill Elementary School in Middletown were selected on the basis of high student achievement in reading and mathematics or significant improvement in these subject areas.

Reporting error on CAPT affects 51 school districts
State Education Commissioner Betty J. Sternberg announced today that Harcourt Assessment Inc. has informed her of a processing error that resulted in incorrect reading scores being reported for 355 students in 51 districts on the 2005 Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT).
