META vs. Standard Mergers
The Model Entity Transaction Act (“META”) allows different business entity types to merge or convert. For example, you may be a corporation that merges with a Limited Liability Company under the META act.
A standard merger, by comparison, involves two or more entities of the same type and does not involve META.
