What is a Conversion?
A conversion is a transaction that would allow your domestic entity to change its entity type. For example, you may be a stock corporation that decides to convert into an LLC.
The law does not allow non-profit entities to convert to other entity types.
Foreign businesses registered with our office cannot file a conversion in Connecticut.
No forms are available for these types of transactions. Instead, you will need to manuscript a form according to the applicable Connecticut General Statute.
This is a complicated transaction and legal advice is highly recommended.
