You file your Work Search efforts and record three Work Search activities, one of which must be an employer contact.
- You have updated your LinkedIn profile (this counts as a work search activity)
- You have sent a job application to Business Z (this counts as an employer contact)
- You updated your resume on CTHires (this counts as a work search activity)
The next week, you are called in for an interview at Business Z. Can you put that on your work search as an employer contact?
No. This does NOT count as an employer contact on the Work Search form because you already used Business Z as an employer contact. You may not duplicate employers. However, the interview does count as a work search activity; you would need another employer contact for that week to maintain your benefits.
Your weekly Work Search filing will look like this:
- Interview with Business Z (this counts as a work search activity)
- Attended professional association event (this counts as a work search activity)
- Contacted Business K for a job application (this counts as an employer contact)
