What is a Commercial Registered Agent?
A commercial registered agent is an agent (domestic or foreign) who has filed a commercial registered business listing with the Secretary of the State. This is different from a noncommercial registered agent, who is someone who has not filed a commercial registered business listing with the Secretary of the State.
A commercial registered agent is typically a business that offers paid agent services, and cannot be an individual. Registering as a commercial registered agent allows the agent to take advantage of mass agent changes.
