The federal regulations for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Programs specify time limits for sponsor submission of monthly claims for reimbursement. The claim due date is the 15th of the month following the last day of the month covered by the claim. When the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date follows the schedule outlined in the Claim Submission Schedule below. Final claims, including revisions, must be submitted to the Connecticut State Department of Education no later than 60 days following the last day of the month covered by the claim. Claims not filed or corrected within the 60 days might not be paid.
