Congress ended the replacement SNAP benefit program in December 2024. The best way to protect yourself against EBT theft is to call 1-888-328-2666 to change your PIN number before the start of each month.

Due to renovations the DSS Manchester office will be temporarily closed. A new temporary location opened Monday, Jan. 27 at 146 Hartford Road, Manchester. 

Wait times at the Waterbury Resource Center may be longer than usual due to renovations.

Annual Forums and Public Comments

Annual Forums:

  • The Department of Social Services, in collaboration with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, the Department of Consumer Protection, the Department of Correction (DOC), the Judicial Branch, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Office of Policy Management and the Department of Public Health held a Public Forum to seek comments on the progress of the State of Connecticut’s Medicaid Section 1115 Substance Use Disorder Demonstration.  A virtual public meeting was held on September 24, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Members of the public could join virtually using the meeting conference call information contained within the notice below. Public comments were also accepted via email to Alexis.Mohammed@ct.gov until October 1, 2024
