Welcome. The general goal of Connecticut’s Motorcycle Safety Program is to reduce the number of injuries and deaths among motorcycle operators and passengers. Providing public information and education materials that promote safety is an important component of the motorcycle safety program. A key to this program is rider education which is addressed under the Connecticut Rider Education Program (CONREP).

Effective January 1, 2011, all applicants must successfully complete
a novice safety course before obtaining a motorcycle endorsement.
