The Fugitive Investigations Unit, is tasked with seeking, locating and apprehending, parole absconders and community supervision escapees, both in and out of state. It is also responsible for handling other high profile cases as assigned.  The location, apprehension and/or extradition of fugitives is the primary mission of the unit. The unit collaborates with various federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, including the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force and various other community partners.  This specialized unit performs a function that is a vital component for offender accountability and public safety.
