Contributing Data
Because of the comprehensive nature of the Natural Diversity Data Base (NDDB), the DEEP is interested in obtaining new and updated information on critical natural resources from Connecticut's citizens. Please submit field notes, photographs, and a map with detailed locations of state listed species and critical habitats.
Submitted information will be reviewed and those reports that document verifiable reports of species or communities will be incorporated into the Natural Diversity Data Base. Please include your address and telephone number on correspondence sent to the NDDB.
Please note: The removal of even one individual from a population can affect its survival. Therefore, the collecting of specimens is strongly discouraged and is generally not allowed on state or private property without the proper permit.

* Note: To insert images into the Word Forms, macros must be enabled. To check your security rating for macros in Word, go to the Tools menu and select Macro and then Security. The "Medium" security level will prompt you to enable or disable macros when you open a document that contains macros. If you choose to disable macros on these forms, you can still fill in data, but you will need to attach your images as a separate document.
