Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that award-winning entertainment production group ITV America – the largest independent producer of non-scripted entertainment content in the United States – will be relocating a significant portion of its business operations to Stamford. Additionally, newly launched Wheelhouse Entertainment – founded by entrepreneur and media magnate Brent Montgomery – also will be using Stamford as one of its bases of operations. Combined, the two entertainment companies plan to create approximately 450 jobs in Stamford across areas of finance and operations, production, and post-production, and more.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Continues to Attract New Television Productions to the State
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Disney-ABC Domestic Television has relocated its long-running show, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,” from New York to Connecticut, which will create 150 new jobs in the state.

Dept. of Economic & Community Development Release: Blue Sky Studios Continues to Grow
Blue Sky Studios today announced it will expand its headquarters in Greenwich and create 70 jobs, a move that will allow the Oscar Award winning digital animation company to grow even more in the future. Gov. Malloy Announces NBC Sports Group is Fourth "First Five"
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that NBC Sports Group will be the fourth company to take advantage of the “First Five” economic development program. NBCUniversal’s NBC Sports Group will consolidate much of its northeast operations, including its existing Connecticut workforce, at new studios and offices in the former Clairol factory in Stamford. The project, slated to start in September 2012, will create 450 jobs and allow room for the company to grow in the future.
