Overview

The Connecticut Conference on Tourism is the state's largest convention of leaders from Connecticut’s $14.7 billion tourism industry. It brings together tourism partners from across the state to share best practices and learn from national tourism and travel experts.  

Hosted annually by the Connecticut Office of Tourism and the Connecticut Convention and Sports Bureau, this event attracts all aspects of this diverse sector — including hotels and restaurants, casinos and tourist attractions, entertainment venues, arts and cultural destinations, and historic sites.

This day-long event is packed with a selection of workshops providing actionable insights and expert tips for industry professionals — on everything from marketing your business and attracting new prospects to enhancing your visitor experience and building stronger partnerships.  

Connecticut Governor’s Tourism Awards
During this event, five awards are given to recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to Connecticut’s tourism industry. These awards highlight the Tourism Rising Star, Tourism Volunteer of the Year, Tourism Partners of the Year, Tourism Leader of the Year and Tourism Legacy Leader. Anyone in the industry can nominate candidates for these awards during the call for submissions period. You'll find more details on these awards on the special conference site.
