State Brownfield funds will be used for the remediation and revitalization of a 1.9 acre site that was formerly known as the New Haven Clock Factory. Located at 133 Hamilton Street in New Haven, the site contains substantial amounts of contaminants including, but not limited to, hazardous building materials including radium. This site will be transformed into a 128 unit, affordable residential work/live development with ancillary uses for design professionals such as gallery/exhibition space and a restaurant/coffee shop. A $300,000 State brownfield grant was also utilized for the environmental assessment of the site.
