Business Ambassadors

The Department of Economic and Community Development is focused on quickly connecting businesses with the resources they need to succeed. But navigating the many state programs that support business development can be daunting. That’s where the DECD ambassador can help.

The department has one to two staff, known as “ambassadors”, assigned to every county of the state. These trained business representatives will work directly with companies to build relationships, answer questions, and provide guidance on the business and technical assistance programs, tax incentives and competitive financing programs available to help companies of all sizes realize their short- and long-term business goals.

These trained business representatives work directly with companies, answering questions and providing guidance on how the wide array of business and technical assistance programs, tax incentives and competitive financing programs can help companies of all sizes realize their short- and long-term business goals.

The ambassadors serve as the central points of contact in coordination with other agencies as well. This approach eliminates any guesswork and allows companies to focus on what matters most—staying one step ahead of the competition.
