The State of Connecticut has put together a more comprehensive online overview of the key advantages of choosing to invest in Connecticut. Permit Ombudsman
If you’d like help coordinating and expediting the approval of required permits within Opportunity Zones, please contact the State’s Office of the Permit Ombudsman. This Office works collaboratively with the Departments of Energy & Environmental Protection, Transportation and Public Health to streamline the permitting process.

Brownfield Remediation and Development
The Office of Brownfield Remediation and Development (OBRD) is a one-stop resource for brownfield redevelopment in Connecticut. If your Opportunity Zone development involves brownfields, we encourage you to learn more about the support available through this office.

Historic Preservation
Connecticut has a rich historical background — and a longstanding commitment to preserving that historical heritage. Developments within Opportunity Zones involving historic properties may be eligible for other types of funding support, tax credits and technical assistance.
