Overview

Part of the Art in Public Spaces program, the Connecticut Artists Collection acquires and exhibits artwork by distinguished Connecticut artists so their work can be preserved for future generations.

Artwork in the collection can be seen in state government facilities — including the State Capitol, the Legislative Office Building, community colleges, and the state office buildings located at 450 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford.

A virtual tour of the Connecticut Artists Collection is coming soon!

Selection Process

An appointed committee of visual arts professionals reviews nominations of artists from curators, museum directors and others, and recommends works for purchase.
