How Do I Apply for a Trademark in Connecticut?

A trademark is a symbol or expression you would use to distinguish your products or services from those of others.

Trademarks filed with our office will only protect your mark within the state of Connecticut. You can file for a nationwide trademarks from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 

To file for your trademark, you have to be able to demonstrate three examples of your mark in active use. You must be using the trademark in your business practice to be eligible. If you are not currently using your mark, be sure to start doing so in order to be eligible to apply for a trademark.
