The State of Connecticut's Small and Minority Business Program provides greater exposure for minority businesses, enabling them to take advantage of both state and federal contracting opportunities. Recent updates to business size standards also make it easier than ever to participate in the program, creating more opportunities for your business to grow and contribute to the state economy.

Learn more about the small and minority business program, including information on eligibility, fees, forms, and links to helpful resources.

Register for the Federal System for Awards Management (SAM) using the updated industry size standards for your business. SAM is the federal procurement database for all entities that want to do business with the federal government.

Registering with SAM makes your business significantly more visible to every potential client who might need your services, and allows for business designations such as Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), which companies in SAM will use to find you.
