Wednesday: Lt. Gov. Wyman Attends Events in Plantsville and Windsor Locks
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks at the Connecticut Recycling Conference, a day-long event for industry leaders and municipalities. Connecticut currently recycles about 35 percent of our trash. In 2014, Governor Dannel P. Malloy set a goal of diverting 60 percent of trash from disposal over the next decade.
In the afternoon, the Lt. Governor will join Governor Dannel P. Malloy at the return of the Connecticut Army National Guard 192nd Military Police Battalion from a nine month deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The unit is commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Paul Deal of Hampton, Connecticut.
