GOV. MALLOY & LT. GOV. WYMAN STATEMENT ON PASSING OF FORMER STATE REP. RUWET

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statement regarding the passing of former State Representative Joseph Ruwet, of Torrington.

"Joe Ruwet will be remembered for his tireless passion for serving his community and the citizens of our state. In addition to his service of over a decade in the General Assembly, Rep. Ruwet worked to support Connecticut's agriculture industry as deputy commissioner under Governor Meskill's Administration and for decades on the Milk Regulation Board.

"He served his state and city with great pride and will be remembered for his commitment and dedication. Our condolences and prayers are with his loved ones at this time."
