(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will recognize legislative and community proponents of PA 14-172, An Act Improving Employment Opportunities Through Education And Ensuring Safe School Climates. This bill, signed by Governor Dannel P. Malloy on June 11, establishes a grant program to promote the educational and social well-being of children, and addresses bullying to improve school climates.
Later, the Lt. Governor will speak at the 10 th anniversary of the New Haven Children's Probate Court. The Court has taken a new, proactive, and long-term approach to handling children's issues and is held up as a national model.
