THURSDAY : LT GOVERNOR WYMAN TO SPEAK AT MIDDLETOWN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, ANNOUNCEMENT OF UNIV. OF NEW HAVEN/WEST HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM; HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE PUBLIC FORUM IN MERIDEN
Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman on Thursday will give the keynote speech at a meeting of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce's Middletown division.
Wyman will discuss Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's recent budget proposal and other administration priorities for the current legislative session. The meeting begins at 8 a.m. at the Village at South Farms, 645 Saybrook Road, Middletown.
At 1 p.m., Wyman will give remarks at the launch of a new scholarship initiative between the University of New Haven and West Haven High School. That announcement will take place at West Haven High School, 1 McDonough Plaza.
At 5:30 p.m., Wyman will attend the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange/Access Health CT "Healthy Chat" public forum on the state's efforts to implement the federal Affordable Care Act. Wyman is the Chair of the Exchange's Board of Directors. The forum will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton, 275 Research Parkway, Meriden.
