The Town of Plymouth is a rural community in Litchfield County covering 22.4 square miles and home to approximately 12,000 residents with a police department comprised of 23 officers is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. CT-POST Certified Police Officers meeting POST Lateral Entry Requirements preferred. Certified Police Officers must be in good standing with their current police department. Salary $65,087 to $70,097. Non-certified candidates (Entry Level Police Officer) must be 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. Salary $50,065 to $70,097. All candidates must possess a valid CT driver’s license and must pass written, oral, Cooper Standards Physical Fitness Test, psychological, polygraph, physical examination, drug screening, and background investigation. Non-certified candidates (Entry Level Police Officer) must possess a valid CHIP card prior to the written test.
