Enfield Police Department
The Town of Enfield is located in north central Connecticut on the border with Massachusetts. The population is approximately 46,000. The Enfield Police Department is a nationally and state accredited agency. There are approximately 99 sworn officers within the department. Uniformed officers work eight hour days with five days on followed by three days off. The following week consists of five on and two off. Officers bid by seniority for one of six shifts per day. Certified officers advance one pay step for each year of certification up to top step (7 years). Educational incentive pay.
