Description: The Branford Police Department, as part of its ongoing hiring campaign, is seeking Connecticut P.O.S.T. Certified Officers to fill current and anticipated full time patrol officer vacancies.  Salary may be commensurate with experience ranging from $65,018 to $74,595.  All Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, the current P.O.S.T. physical assessment (Cooper Test) and a Chief's interview.  In addition, candidates must successfully pass a background investigation, polygraph, psychological and medical examination including drug screening. The town offers a competitive benefits package. The current labor contract is in the final stages of being negotiated.
