OHS Holds Public Hearing in Manchester for Cardiac Care Certificate of Need Application
(HARTFORD, CT) – The Connecticut Office of Health Strategy (OHS) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, for the Prospect Manchester Hospital / Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Certificate of Need application related to cardiac care. The application requests the Establishment of Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization and Primary and Elective Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Program at Manchester Hospital without On-Site Surgical Backup.
Pursuant to multiple sections of the General Statutes as amended by Public Act 18-91, OHS leads the Health Systems Planning Unit (formerly the Office of Health Care Access) that administers the Certificate of Need program—a regulatory responsibility to promote statewide health facility and service development and monitor the community impact of provider acquisitions and consolidations.
