Signal Projects and Signal Management

Responsible for the design and management of state owned traffic signals. Comprised of a Design Section, an Electrical Section, and an Asset Management Section. Specific responsibilities include:
 
-  Programming future traffic signal installations and upgrades
-  Preparing plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic signal projects
-  Reviewing traffic signal designs prepared by consultants
-  Managing traffic signal installation projects
-  Establishing traffic signal design practices and updating the Department’s Traffic Signal Design Manual
-  Managing the asset of over 2,500 state owned traffic signals
-  Maintaining and updating traffic design specifications
-  Coordinating with utilities for traffic signal projects
-  Ensuring code and utility regulations compliance in traffic signal projects
