(Note: Amtrak is not funded by CTDOT, but is an integral part of our regional transportation system - please visit their website directly for service information.)

CTDOT is committed to improving rail service as the new equipment, new rail cars and new train stations are brought on-line. The Department’s mission is to provide a safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation system that meets the mobility needs of its users. Achieving this mission is a great challenge, and a goal that the CTDOT professionals and its operators and contractors are striving to achieve. The Department recognizes the need to continue to identify, analyze, and continually improve the way we do our work, so to deliver better services and improve transportation infrastructure.
