Mission Statement

The Office of Engineering manages, directs, and coordinates all engineering and support activities performed by the Division of Bridges, the Division of Facilities & Transit, the Division of Highway Design, the Division of Traffic Engineering, and the Division of Rights of Way. The Office also manages staff and consultant preparation of design projects and related engineering reports and documents. The Office serves as engineering approval for plans and specifications as well as necessary agreements in the preconstruction process. The Office advises the Chief Engineer on engineering matters relative to the Bureau of Engineering and Construction and administers the Specific Information Signing Program on limited access highways.
