Responsible for the design of plantings, the pedestrian environment, and overall aesthetics on transportation projects ranging from transit stations, interstate systems, to historic Main Streets.
 
Guidance of designers and communities through the complex changes associated with highway improvement projects including tree preservation.
 
The Landscape Design Unit develops and supports the advancement of specifications for sustainable seeding and drainage, as well as the planning and implementation of forested buffers and urban canopies.
