Rehabilitation of Bridge 00325 Carrying Route 1 over Yellow Mill Channel in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 00325 carrying Route 1 over Yellow Mill Channel and a rail spur line in Bridgeport.

The project involves the rehabilitation of Structure No. 00325, which carries Route 1 over Yellow Mill Channel and a RR spur line in the City of Bridgeport.

DOT Project No. 0015-0248 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Co., Inc. at a cost of $10,297,553 on December 30, 2019 and is scheduled to be completed June 2, 2022. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane restrictions and realignments on Route 1 between Helen Street and Seaview Avenue in Bridgeport. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedules for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to these schedules may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and to utilize caution through this and all other construction work zones.
