Tree Removal along Westbrook Road in Essex - Detour Required
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a tree removal operation will occur on Service Route 604 (Westbrook Road) in Essex on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Rain date will be Thursday, July 25, 2019.
The tree removal operation will occur on Service Route 604 (Westbrook Road) between Service Route 602 (Main Street) and Route 153, and will require a road closure on a section of Service Route 604 (Westbrook Road) in Essex.
DETOUR INFO:
The following detour will be implemented while work is being performed on Service Route 604 (Westbrook Road) in Essex: Southbound motorists will be directed onto Route 154 to Route 153 in Essex. Northbound motorists will follow the reverse route. State traffic control personnel, variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide the motorists through the detour. The detour is scheduled to be in place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
