Scheduled Temporary Closure of I-95 Southbound Ramps at Exit 74 in East Lyme

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled temporary closure of the I-95 southbound ramps at Exit 74 in East Lyme, beginning October 16, 2019, at 6:30 PM, until October 20, 2019, at 6:00 AM.  The closure is necessary to facilitate construction activity associated with the realignment of the ramps.  The work is being performed via CTDOT permit by a private developer.

Detour signage will direct I-95 southbound traffic to Exit 73, to East Society Road, to Society Road, to Flanders Road.

Detour signage will direct Flanders Road traffic trying to access I-95 southbound to  Route 161 (Flanders Rd) South to Route 156 West to Route 449 N to Exit 72 (North and Southbound I-95 ramps).

This permit project is being constructed by to Cherry Hill Construction Co., Inc. and is scheduled to be completed November 14, 2019.
