Scheduled Temporary Closure of Harvard Avenue in Stamford on August 22 and August 23, 2019

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Harvard Avenue in Stamford will be closed temporarily to facilitate the replacement of a damaged fascia beam for Bridge 00022 carrying I-95 northbound over Harvard Avenue. The closure will occur on 2 consecutive nights, Thursday and Friday, August 22 & 23, 2019, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Exit 6 ramps will remain open during the closure. Local motorists will be provided a short detour around the work area.

The project consists of repairing a damaged fascia beam on I-95 northbound Bridge 00022 over Harvard Avenue that was struck by an over-height vehicle.

This project is being constructed by The Hartland Building & Restoration Company of Simsbury CT, for $887,735.00 with an official start date of August 5, 2019, and is anticipated to be completed in October 2019.
