Safety Improvements along Route 8 Southbound in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that roadside safety improvements will be performed on Route 8 southbound (Exit 3, Main St) in Bridgeport, Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2, 2019. 

 

The safety improvements consist of an attenuator installation on a 0.01 mile segment of Route 8 Southbound (Exit 3, Main St) in Bridgeport. 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 8 Southbound (Exit 3, Main St) in the vicinity of the exit 3 off ramp.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (weekdays). 

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
