Resurfacing Project on Route 89 in Ashford and Union

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a 3.56-mile segment of Route 89 in Ashford and Union, Monday, September 30, through Monday, October 14, 2019.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 89 from the north junction of Westford Hill Road in Ashford to Route 190 in Union. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
