Rehabilitation of Bridge 01686A, I-84 East and West over Market Street and Bridge 06048, I-84 West Off-Ramp to Market Street in Hartford

 

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the restart of work including lane closures, beginning on April 1, 2019, for the rehabilitation of Bridge 01686A (I-84 east and west over Market Street) and Bridge 06048 (I-84 westbound off-ramp to Market Street in Hartford).

The project consists of patching the concrete deck, installation of a new membrane and overlay, new deck joints, cleaning scuppers, modifications of the existing parapets, cleaning and painting of fixed bearings, girders end painting and spot painting as needed, steel repairs and substructure repairs.

DOT Project no. 0063-0707 was awarded to Manafort Brothers, Inc. at a cost of $6,763,633.96 on February 13, 2018, and is scheduled to be completed in November of 2019.

LANE CLOSURE INFO
Lane closures on I-84 west may occur nightly between the hours of 9 pm to 5 am and I-84 east from 11 pm to 5 am. Lane closures on I-91 north may occur between the hours of 7 pm to 6 am and on I-91 south between the hours of 7 pm and 6 am. Times will vary based on the day of the week and location of the closure. Lane closures on adjacent streets and associated ramps may occur Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM nightly.
