Pipe Replacement along on Route 89 - Fish Point Road - in Union

Pipe Replacement along on Route 89 (Fish Point Rd.) in Union – Detour Required

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a metal pipe replacement project will be performed on Route 89 in Union, Tuesday, July 23, through Friday, July 26, 2019.

DETOUR INFO:

The following detour will be implemented while work is being performed on Route 89 in Union:  Northbound motorists will be directed to use Route 84 to Route 190 and back onto Route 89.  Southbound motorists will follow the reverse route.  State traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles, variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide the motorists through the detour.  The detour is scheduled to be in place from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
