Nighttime Tree and Vegetation Removal Project, I-95 Southbound & Northbound in Old Saybrook and Madison

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on I-95 Southbound & Northbound in Old Saybrook and Madison, beginning Monday, March 18, 2019.

The project consists of tree and vegetation removal on I-95 Southbound from Exit 70 in Old Saybrook to Exit 62 in Madison and I-95 Northbound from Exit 62 in Madison to Exit 70 in Old Saybrook.  The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 18, 2019, through Thursday, April 18, 2019. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane and shoulder closures on I-95 Southbound from Exit 70 in Old Saybrook to       Exit 62 in Madison and I-95 Northbound from Exit 62 in Madison to Exit 70 in Old Saybrook.  Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.           This is a nighttime project.  The work schedule will be from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
