Nighttime Safety Improvements on I-395 Southbound in Lisbon and Griswold

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime  safety improvement project will be performed on I-395 Southbound in Lisbon and Griswold, beginning Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

The project consists of installing rumble strip on I-395 Southbound on the left lane in Lisbon and Griswold.  This project is scheduled to be performed on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2019, to Thursday morning, December 19, 2019.  Inclement weather date will be Thursday evening, December 19, 2019, to Friday morning, December 20, 2019.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect left lane closures to occur on I-395 Southbound from Exit 24 in Lisbon to Exit 18 in Griswold.  Two (2) state troopers, four (4) crash attenuator vehicles, overhead variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday -Thursday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
