Nighttime Resurfacing along Route 1 - Boston Post Rd - in Milford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project

will be performed on a 2.24-mile segment of Route 1 in Milford, Sunday, August 18, through Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

     No work will occur from 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, through Monday, September 2, due to the Labor Day holiday. Work will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from Route 121 to the Orange Town Line.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  (Sunday night through Friday morning)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
