Nighttime Pavement Markings along Various Routes in Northwest Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime pavement markings project that will continue on various routes in northwest Connecticut through Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Work hours are scheduled between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday) as well as daytime hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday through Friday).

Segments of the following routes are included in this project: Waterbury (Bank St. to Washington St.), I-84 Exit 22 & 21 Ramps Waterbury, RT 8 S/B Harwinton/Litchfield/Thomaston (Exit 42- Exit 40), RT 8 N/B Waterbury (Exit 35 to Watertown town line).

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Work will be performed utilizing a moving operation with intermittent closures of lanes to complete this work. Motorists are expected to use caution around these operations as vehicles will be moving slower than the posted speeds. The regular schedule for this project is 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings) Daytime Hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday through Friday) on RT 8 s/b location only.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
