Nighttime Milling to add Rumble Strips on Various Routes in Central Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the nighttime milling of bituminous concrete work to add rumble strips will be performed on various routes in central Connecticut beginning Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

 

The project consists of the application of milling of bituminous concrete to add rumble strips on various Interstate and Non-Interstate routes in District 1. Work will be performed on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, with a rain date of Thursday, October 10, 2019.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Truck mounted attenuators, signing patterns and State Police Officers will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

Segments of the following routes are included in this project: Route 69 in Wolcott/Bristol (Waterbury Town Line to North Junction of Old Wolcott Road) and Route 71 in New Britain 450 feet south of Firehouse Lane to 350 south of the Costco Driveway.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
