Nighttime Joint and Crack Sealing on I-84 in Waterbury and Middlebury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime joint & crack sealing operation will be performed on I-84 westbound, in Waterbury and Middlebury, Tuesday, October 6, through Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Work hours will be 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The operation consists of joint & crack sealing a 5.88-mile segment of I-84 westbound, in Waterbury & Middlebury.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect left lane closures on I-84 westbound at beginning of viaduct (approx. 0.40 miles east of Ex. 18) to the Christian Rd. overpass. Traffic Control Patterns and Crash Units will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday - Thursday) & (Monday – Tuesday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
