Nighttime Bridge Repairs on I-84 Eastbound in Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-84 eastbound at the Exit 52 ramp to I-91 southbound in Hartford, overnight Wednesday-Thursday, July 31-August 1, 2019.
The project consists of steel and parapet bridge repairs onto Bridge#1686B, I-84 astbound at Exit 52 ramp to I-91 southbound in Hartford.
RAMP CLOSURE INFO
Motorist can expect the I-84 Eastbound at Exit 52 ramp to be closed to traffic and a detour will be utilized. The detour will be implemented using fixed message signs and a portable detour signs to pre-warn motorists of the impending ramp closure and detour. The work schedule for this project is from 9:00pm to 5:00am (Sunday Evening- Monday Morning).
Special Circumstance: The detour will direct motorists off I-84 Eastbound at Exit 55 (Route 2 East) to Route 2 Eastbound. Motorists will then proceed to Exit 5D (Route 3 South). After taking the exit motorists will then proceed to Junction I-91 North or South.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
