Nighttime Bridge Project on I-395 Northbound and Southbound in Putnam

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge membrane project will be performed on I-395 northbound and southbound in Putnam, beginning Friday, July 26, 2019.

The project consists of placing membrane on I-395, Bridge #3061 and Bridge #3060 (Route 44 overpass) in Putnam.  The membrane project is scheduled for both bridges on Friday evening, July 26, 2019, to Saturday morning, July 27, 2019. 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-395 northbound and southbound at Bridges #03061 and #3060 over Route 44 in Putnam.  Two (2) state troopers, crash attenuator vehicles, and vendor supplied signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  This is a nighttime project.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Friday – Saturday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
