Nighttime Bridge Membrane Project on I-395 Southbound in Lisbon

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge membrane project will be performed on I-395 Southbound in Lisbon, beginning Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

The project consists of placing membrane on I-395 Southbound, Bridge #0286 (Quinebaug River overpass) and Bridge #0281 (Shetucket River overpass) in Lisbon.  The membrane project for Bridge #0286 is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2019, and Bridge #0281 is scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2019. 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-395 Southbound at Bridge #0286 over the Quinebaug River and Bridge #0281 over the Shetucket River in Lisbon.  Two (2) state troopers, crash attenuator vehicles, and vendor supplied signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  This is a nighttime project.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday – Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
